Ciudad de México.- Hugo López-Gatell Ramírez, Subsecretario de Prevención y Promoción de la Salud, dio a conocer esta mañana el calendario de vacunación contra el COVID-19, la enfermedad que provoca el virus SARS-CoV-2, que se aplicará en México empezando a finales de este mes, cuando lleguen las primeras dosis de Pfizer.
De acuerdo con el funcionario, en la etapa 1, de diciembre de 2020 a febrero de 2021, se vacunará a personal médico, ya que es quien se encuentra en la primera línea de la pandemia de la COVID-19 en el país; mientras que en la etapa 2, de febrero a abril de 2021, se inoculará al personal de salud restante y a las personas de 60 años en adelante.
Y para la etapa 3, explicó, que se dará entre abril y mayo del próximo año, recibirán las dosis aquellas personas de 50 a 59 años de edad; en tanto, durante la etapa 4, que se desarrollará de mayo a junio, se aplicará la vacuna a personas de 40 a 49 años. Finalmente, en la etapa 5, de junio de 2021 a marzo de 2022, se busca llevar el fármaco al resto de la población.
López-Gatell detalló que se tuvo que realizar una priorización sobre quiénes serán los primeros en ser vacunados, sin embargo, subrayó que todas y todos tendrán acceso a las dosis en su determinado momento, pues la meta de cobertura es de al menos 75 por ciento de la población de 16 años hacia arriba.
Por ello, presentó la priorización de grupos según los factores de riesgo, la cual quedó de la siguiente forma:
1. Trabajadores de salud
2. Persona de 80 y más años
3. Personas de 70 a 79 años
4. Personas de 60 a 69 años
5. Personas de 50 a 59 años
6. Personas de 40 a 49 años
7. Población menor de 40 años
Durante la conferencia matutina del Presidente Andrés Manuel López Obrador, el funcionario aclaró que las mujeres embarazadas no tienen riesgo de contraer el COVID-19, por ello, hasta el momento no se tienen previstas dosis para ese sector ni para menores de edad.
